North Berwick RNLI lifeboat fete Saturday 23 July 2016

Lifeboats News Release

North Berwick RNLI volunteer lifeboat crew will be hosting their annual fundraising fete on Saturday 23 July 2016 at ELCO green, North Berwick.

North Berwick RNLI (the Royal National Lifeboat Institution) lifeboat crew will be hosting their annual fete. This is one of the major fundraisers carried out throughout the year. The RNLI receives no government funding and relies completely on donations from the public.

Saturday’s fete will commence at 12:30pm with a parade along the High Street with vintage cars ending at Elco Green, where the lifeboat Queen will be crowned and the fete will open. There will be numerous stalls, raffle and live music. Come along and meet the Crew and Stormy Stan.

“We rely completely on voluntary funding and the generosity of the public, this enables the RNLI to provide us with our boat, protective equipment, our training and then maintain it all, so that we can continue to save lives at sea. We are always amazed and so grateful, how generous people are.” Rhona Meikle, Helm.
