St Catherine RNLI prepares to open its doors to the public

Lifeboats News Release

St Catherine’s RNLI Lifeboat Station will be opening its doors to the public on Sunday 11 September.

This is the chance to find out what goes on at a working RNLI lifeboat station and to meet the volunteers who make up the crew and help to launch and maintain the lifeboat.

The St Catherine’s crew members will be available to answer any questions and all visitors will have the chance to climb on board our wonderful Atlantic 85 Inshore Lifeboat, Eric W Wilson.

The RNLI Lifeguards will also be joining us - find out what it takes to patrol Jersey’s beaches and save lives on our shores.

The Lifeboat Guild will be providing tea and home-made cakes and there will also be souvenirs on sale, plus plenty of other things to see and do!

Any donations kindly received will be used to train and equip crew to save more lives at sea.

The open day runs from 11am-5pm on Sunday 11 September.
