Also tasked to the incident were HM Coastguards from St. David's and Fishguard also coastguard rescue helicopter R187.

The inshore lifeboat arrived quickly on scene and dropped two crew members ashore to assist with the treatment of the casualty.

Fortunately, there was a HEMS doctor on holiday at the Blue Lagoon who lead the treatment.

The all-weather lifeboat stood off ready to put extra crew ashore if needed, also to act as an optional platform to convey the casualty to a shore side site.

Once the helicopter arrived at the scene it landed at the cliff top.

The casualty was then placed into a stretcher and carried to the helicopter, and conveyed to hospital.

Both lifeboats were then released from this incident, and once the two crew members were recovered to the inshore lifeboat returned to station arriving back at 8.30pm.
