After a search off the river Ugie mouth without finding a casualty, the lifeboat was stood down at 2.17 pm and returned to its station at 2.30 pm. It transpires that the casualty was a regular swimmer, and he had returned home prior to the lifeboat arrival on scene. The call will be designated a false alarm with good intent. The sea conditions were 1 M swell, and wind was W 4 - 13Knots. Visibility was very good.

Peterhead lifeboat station is always interested to hear from anyone wishing to help save live’s at sea by joining the fund raising team, or the crew.
