The Atlantic 85 ILB crew carefully made their way to the 7.6m casualty with several people on board some 2.2 miles off Ramsgate, making full use of the ILB's on board radar and direction finder (a piece of equipment that can give an accurate direction of a VHF signal). Once the casualty was located the ILB safely led the way back to Ramsgate Harbour.
