Calshot RNLI lifeboats launch to suspected stroke casualty
Both the Atlantic 85 and D class Calshot inshore lifeboats were launched on the evening of July 25 at approximately 9pm at the request of the UK Coastguard to reports of a lone fisherman on a boat in Southampton water who was suffering from a suspected stroke.
The lifeboats located the fisherman's vessel where casualty care crew boarded and administered treatment.
Coastguard Helicopter R175 was called to assist with the evacuation of the casualty who was airlifted to hospital.
