At a recent social event in Bromsgrove, members of the Midlands Lotus Owners Club raised £750 for the RNLI. One of the directors of the club, Mark Hodgkinson, has family connections with Looe and the club asked him to call into boathouse when he was next in Looe to present their cheque to the lifeboat station. Mark and his family were greeted at the Lifeboat Station by our volunteer Boathouse Manager and Education Officer Graham Morris who accepted the cheque on behalf of the lifeboat station.

Graham showed Mark and his family our two inshore lifeboats and launch tractors and gave them an insight into how our volunteer crews respond to a shout. Graham thanked the club for their generous donation and explained to Mark how the money would be used to support and train our volunteer crew.
