Fleetwood RNLI receive Diamond wedding donation
When Tom and Sheila Norton were planning to throw a party to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, they decided to ask their family and friends to donate money to their local RNLI volunteers, instead of buying presents.
The couple visited the lifeboat station with Grandson, Noah to hand over a cheque for £410 and took the opportunity watch the lifeboats launch for the Tuesday evening exercise.
Fleetwood RNLI Coxswain, Tony Cowell said ‘This is a fantastic example of the magnificent support we receive from our local community. This was a very generous gesture by Tom and Sheila and we can’t thank them enough for them thinking of us on this special occasion.’
