After arriving on scene, it was confirmed that the person was no longer in the water after being assisted from the water by the Coastguard team.

With this information, the lifeboat was stood down by Belfast Coastguard and carried on with its weekly exercise.

If you see someone in difficulty at sea or on the coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
