STCW Personal Survival Techniques certificated course

Train like our crew with the RNLI training experts

The STCW 95 Personal Survival Techniques Course provides essential emergency and survival techniques, along with an understanding of the effects of cold-water shock and hypothermia.

Theoretical and practical sessions investigate the causes of distress, providing an awareness of lifesaving equipment, which includes an introduction to the life raft its contents and associated lifesaving appliances. How to use key equipment, including the launch and recovery of a life raft, preparation for survival and personal survival skills are all covered, as well as gaining an insight into search and rescue organisations.

By joining us you’ll also be supporting the work we do in training our volunteer lifesavers who are ready for anything when they get the call.
